 On Saturday Two smack boats sailed over to Harwich to raid the bell pub followed by Lady Hamilton packed to the gunnel's with gaffers and all had a jolly time then afterwards made their way back to Shotley. 47 turned up for supper The Shipwreck did us proud with a superb Chicken Curry or Chilli and pudding. Due to circumstances beyond our control the sea shanty festival was canceled But the Naze shanty group stepped in at the last minute and entertained us with a superb evening of song's. We also had a very successful raffle with several prizes donated by gaffer's thank you all. A special flag was presented to Petter Thomas by Brian Hammett. and all gaffer's crew attending received a Easter Egg. On Sunday PTK arranged a visit to Harwich Harbour VTS Control Tower (don't quite Know how he did this yet). Several gaffers turned up ferried over by our own Gentelman's motor yacht(skipper Mike McCarthy many thanks Mike) the tour was very well organised and our thanks go to Deputy Harbour Master Neil Glendinning and Will Langton Officer of the day.
